Studying the effect of shear stud distribution on the behavior of steel–reactive powder concrete composite beams using ABAQUS software

Abstract Using the ABAQUS software, this article presents a numerical investigation on effects of various stud distributions behavior composite beams. A total 24 continuous 2-span beam samples with span length 1 m were examined (concrete slab at top and steel I-section bottom). The concrete used is made reactive powder compressive strength 100.29 MPa. depth each sample was 0.220 m. separated into four groups. first group involved 6 specimens shear connectors distributed 2 rows different distances (65, 85, 105, 150, 200, 250 mm). second had same spacing as except that one row along longitudinal axis. third consisted six single double fourth included arranged in staggered distribution Results show optimum 105 mm all groups deflection fluctuated up down due to non-symmetrical connectors.
